What’s Up Wednesday
Plant the Seed Anyway. Overcoming Fear in Real Time.
It is Wellness Wednesday and let me tell you that yesterday was nothing short of powerful.
I had the opportunity to facilitate at one event and attend another where both were centered around one core message. We must plant our seed anyway even when fear is present.
Let’s be real because fear certainly showed up in that room. But so did courage. So did vulnerability. And most importantly, so did growth.
The Seed Principle
Every dream, every goal, and every healing journey starts the same way. It starts with a seed.
But here is the truth most people don’t talk about. Seeds don’t grow in comfort. They grow in dirt. And that dirt represents fear, doubt, trauma, past mistakes, and uncertainty.
So when we tell people to plant the seed, what we are really saying is to have the courage to start even when conditions are not perfect.
Let’s Talk About Fear
Fear will tell you these lies to keep you stuck.
- “You’re not ready.”
- “What if you fail?”
- “What will people think?”
- “You’ve tried before.”
But what I shared in both workshops is that fear and excitement carry the exact same physical response. The difference is found in your mindset.
You can feel fear and still move forward. You can be uncertain and still plant. You can be scared and still grow.
What We Did in the Workshop
We didn’t just talk because we actively engaged ourselves with these actions.
- Participants planted seeds physically and metaphorically.
- Reflected on what has been holding them back.
- Shared truths they have been afraid to say out loud.
- Reframed fear as a signal instead of a stop sign.
And one thing became clear. People aren’t afraid of failing. They are afraid of starting.
The Deeper Root
Let’s go deeper for a moment and explore healing and awareness. Sometimes fear isn’t just fear. It is tied to several heavy anchors including past disappointments, emotional overload, and generational patterns of playing small.
And that is why this work matters. Because planting a seed isn’t just about goals. It is about healing the parts of you that stopped believing you could grow.
RTT ENERGY
Reflect. Transform. Heal.
Here is your Workshop Wednesday assignment. Ask yourself these questions.
What seed have you been afraid to plant?
What fear have you been allowing to take up space?
What would happen if you moved anyway?
Write it down. Speak it out loud. Take one step. Not ten. Not perfect. Just one.
Final Coach Mo Thought
You don’t need perfect conditions to grow. You just need permission to begin.
So plant the seed. Water it with consistency. Protect it with boundaries. And trust that growth is happening even when you don’t see it yet.
Call to Action
If this spoke to you, drop a 🌱 in the comments below or share this with someone who has been stuck in fear.
And if you were in the workshop yesterday, I truly thank you for showing up, being vulnerable, and choosing growth.
