Coach Mo | Real Talk TYME
This Wednesday, I’m reflecting on something deeply personal—my character strengths. I recently completed a strength assessment, and let me tell you… it was eye-opening, affirming, and healing all at once.
My Top 5 Strengths
- Spirituality – My faith isn’t just what I believe in—it’s how I live. It’s my anchor through storms and my light through dark valleys. I move through life knowing I’m led by purpose, not chance.
- Love of Learning – I am a student of life. Every lesson, every experience, every trial—I want to learn from it. It’s how I grow, how I teach, and how I heal.
- Hope – I hold onto what could be, even when everything around me says otherwise. Hope gives me permission to keep showing up—even when it’s hard.
- Appreciation of Beauty & Excellence – I find meaning in what’s often overlooked. Whether it’s a person’s potential or a sunset at the end of a rough day—I see beauty as a form of strength.
- Leadership – I’m not just here to lead—I’m here to lift. I take this strength seriously. It’s how I show up for my community, my clients, and my calling.
What Does It All Mean?
It means I’m wired for meaning. I was born to turn pain into purpose and walk beside others on their journey toward healing. I’m constantly growing, always reaching for truth, and determined to pour into others while staying connected to my values.
My Growth Areas
My lesser strengths—humility, perseverance, self-regulation, and humor—remind me that I’m still a work in progress. I don’t always get the balance right. I can struggle with sticking to routines, saying no, or remembering to laugh when life feels too heavy. But now, I see these not as flaws—but as areas where grace and growth are needed.
Why This Matters
We don’t need to be perfect—we need to be aware. When we know what our strengths are, we can lean in. And when we know what we struggle with, we can show ourselves grace.
