Showing Up for Yourself!

It’s Real Talk Tyme on this What’s Up Wednesday!

Showing Up for Yourself!

So many times, we show up for others and we do not show up for ourselves. We must change our thought process of how we have to take care of everybody else before we take care of ourselves. Most of us are born as caretakers and we strive on taking care of other people. It’s rewarding too! However, when it comes to us, we don’t show up for ourselves. We have to fill our cup up first and then serve everyone else from the overflow. We have heard this so many times – “If you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t take care of nobody else!” This is so true!

We have to be mindful of our mental health, our physical health and our emotional well being. Continue Showing Up for Yourself. There are 10 ways to show up for yourself:

1) Get into the habit of asking yourself “what do I need right now?”

2) Check in with yourself regularly/get deep honest.

3) Listen to your emotions with curiosity and less judgement. What are they telling you?

4) Speak kindly to yourself.

5) Let go of comparing/use gratitude instead.

6) Do something for your mind, body, and soul daily.

7) Create more than you consume/watch what you consume on social media and news wise.

8) Notice where your energy goes.

9) Notice what inspires and drains you/set boundaries.

10) Ask yourself “does this serve me?” more often.

11) Lastly, make sure your are Showing Up for Yourself!
